On the subject of the glass, i think it go's quite well with the theme of the texture pack (1700's?)

its quite simple to fix things in texture packs u dont like. just open the zip. go to the terrain.jpg and edit what u want in paint, save , then replace the edited file with the one in the zip file.

It's common principle to NOT use paint as your image editing software as paint does not save transparencies.

Nah man paint is the pro's. If it wasn't pro software why do they use microsoft paint after effects for movies? Riddle me that!
